Entity #019 - A Digital Cordyceps
Description
Some time during 2013, two servers of Heli Wars: Desert Attack would experience an exploit used by an unknown administrator that caused the said two servers to be fully encased in a coat of gray, along with the team names changing into "The Unwilling" and "Terminated", and all tools and vehicles being removed. Two of the players inside the servers would switch to the "Terminated" team, and were unable to speak for the remainder of the game, which would always last five minutes. During these five minutes, players on the "The Unwilling" team would have to avoid any contact with anyone on the Terminated team. If they made contact with a player on the "Terminated" team, they would join that team, before typing out the phrase "judgement has cometh, let us embrace heavens sorrow". After the five minutes were over, the remaining players on the "The Unwilling" team's Roblox client would immediately close. All players that were on the "Terminated" team would later have their accounts terminated. It's theorized that the quote players say on the "Terminated" team is an advertisement for a cult.
Both servers affected with this exploit have recordings validating the incident, with all players who have taken the evidence unfortunately being terminated sometime around 2015, though we have been able to get in contact with all terminated players for the recordings, we were also able to interview someone who was inside one of the affected servers.
Post-Incident Notes
Around two weeks after this incident, screenshots were spread around via forum pages, which were quickly taken down, along with all accounts mentioning this incident being terminated, though some accounts were unterminated shortly. Unfortunately we couldn't get into contact with anyone whose account was terminated.
There are some unconfirmed theories on what the purpose of the tool used to cause this incident was meant to do, with some theorizing it was for a scrapped Halloween event, or a collaboration event. There are also theories on who the admin was, with some theorizing it was a fired admin, or an exploiter who had access to Roblox's moderation tools.

Interview Transcript
R.A. staff: Ok so.. Jayanth Sayagupsa.. Do you mind if I call you Jay during the interview?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: I don't mind at all.
R.A. staff: Ok Jay, so what do you remember about the Heli Wars server hack?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: I remember nearly everything about it, besides the usernames of people, what happened to people on the "Terminated" team, and how I was able to hide long enough without getting my Roblox account terminated.
R.A. staff: That's good, could you explain what happened before the exploit started, and what was happening during the five minute round with the "Terminated" and "The Unwilling"?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: I remember that before the exploit started someone joined and was flying around. Like I said, I can't remember anyone's username but the player who was flying around claimed to be an admin. Right before the exploits they said something along the lines of "I'm gonna test this tool and leave when I use it, if you guys can't leave it's probably just a bug." Right when he said that everything went to shit.
R.A. staff: Could you tell us what happened right when he left?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: The literal second he left everything went gray, along with the teams changing. People were panicking after someone noticed that the people on the "Terminated" team just stopped talking after they said the "Join us" line. They also noticed that their faces had changed into something Roblox themself would never approve onto the platform at the time. That's when the five minute duration of trying not to get too close to the players on the "Terminated" team began.
R.A. staff: How did people in your server figure that making contact with the "Terminated" team wasn't exactly a good idea?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: Someone went up to one of the players on the "Terminated" team, and we noticed that after he got too close he changed teams, right as he said the "Join us" line. We also noticed that even being near one of the players from the "Terminated" team would start causing noises similar to TV static, along with your device screen distorting.
R.A. staff: That's new actually. We haven't gotten any information about getting too close to the "Terminated" team's players. We haven't even received any footage yet.
Jayanth Sayagupsa: I believe I have a recording. I can send it to you after the interview if you don't mind.
R.A. staff: That would be nice. And if you could tell us what happened when the five minutes was over?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: Everything kind of just went back to before the admin showed up. Everybody on the "Terminated" team left, and the server filled up with more players almost instantly.
R.A. staff: One last thing Jay, do you remember how many people were on the "The Unwilling" team after the five minutes?
Jayanth Sayagupsa: I believe it was me and two others. I can't remember anything about them.
R.A. staff: That concludes the interview. Thank you so much for talking with us today, Jay! We really appreciate getting new information about anomalies!
Jayanth Sayagupsa: You're welcome! I'm happy to have discussed the anomaly with you.
