Entity #024 - Toymaker
Description
Entity #024 is a player that first joined the ROBLOX platform around 2011. They would mostly go under the radar until 2015 as their account would be mostly inactive. As time went on, Entity #024 would build a reputation due to various well-made but anomalous plugins, models and scripts that they would publish. These creations would be seemingly made for what is usually entertainment but it can be sometimes practical. Anomaly #024 has been noted to mess with some of the said creations while also publishing them for others to use. This had earned them the nickname Toymaker. It’s unknown how they can create these anomalous creations.
From what’s been observed Entity #024 in general is pretty social and open to interactions with others, but has a short fuse when it comes to certain topics, usually being defensive when other people try to find information about their creations. They’re responsible for making many different creations, however, this article will only cover the more notable out of them as the rest are either obscure or don’t have any anomalous attributes.
Entity #024 will be referred to by their official designation and alias interchangeably from now on.
Entity #024-A - T.P.C.C.M
Alias: “Toymaker’s Portable Companion Creating Machine”
Type: Model
Risk: Harmless
Status: Removed
Entity #024-A is a model that was uploaded onto the ROBLOX platform in mid-2014 (This model is confirmed to be Toymaker’s first major project). The model consisted of a green, large button and a pipe floating above the button. When the button is pressed, a grey, blocky rig would spawn in from the pipe’s opening. Said rig would greet the player with the message “thaan kyo u forrus ing “Toymaker’SPORTABLECOMPANIONCREATINGMACHINEtrademarked……… we ho opeyo u ENJOY!!!!!” before fully gaining sentience and wandering around the surrounding area of the model.
Due to the formatting of the opening message and multiple vague posts made by [TOYMAKER], it lead to the theory that Entity #024-A was made and updated through self perpetuation as Toymaker worked on other projects. This was confirmed by them after being mentioned in passing.
Entity #024-A-1 - Companions
Alias: “Companions”
Type: NPC
Risk: Dangerous
Status: Unknown
Entity #024-A-1 is the classification for the aforementioned humanoids. Once said humanoids become independent, they will begin to start wandering their premises, observing and taking in information about the area. After a while of this process, Entity #024-A-1 will greet the player once again and ask to be ‘customised’, in which GUI will pop up on the player’s screen and said player will and the humanoid will now turn into the player’s personal companion that is able to be customised from scratch. This customisation menu is far more advanced than the ROBLOX avatar creator with the ability to:
- Add in and adjust accessories according to size and rotation while also being able to bypass the 3 hat limit.
- Morph the body parts of the humanoid by replacing them with other packages, resizing and rotating them.
- Change the default face to a pre-existing catalog item, decal or with an in-built, custom drawing interface which could be used to create a new face.
- Colour anything with whatever hexadecimal colour code, being able to apply it to any part of the companion
Players also had the ability to implement custom behaviours and actions along with the preset behaviours that were available for selection, including examples such as these companions being able to build in real time and follow the player into other games. These custom actions however would need to be coded in Lua with the addition of custom presets. These companions would plague ROBLOX until much later in 2016 (see Incident A), causing ROBLOX to wipe the associated model from the platform, also ultimately causing extreme problems for the remaining companions. ROBLOX would hunt for games where the model and companions were being homed/held, content deleting them. It’s unknown what’s happened to these companions after the hunt was concluded.
Entity #024-B - Animation
Alias: “Animation”
Type: Plugin
Risk: Moderate
Status: Removed
Entity #024-B is a plugin created by Toymaker in 2016, the actual name of the plugin is an extremely long string of garbled symbols, surpassing any sort of character limit. In mid-2017, someone would discover Entity #024-B and begin using it, when the person noticed Entity #024-B doing it’s anomalous behaviour, the same person would post about their experience onto the forums, leading to the Plugin booming in popularity and recognition before ultimately getting deleted by Toymaker due to Entity #024-B converting many pre-existing decal IDs into randomly generated imagery.
Entity #024-B’s anomalous nature comes from the fact that it could be applied to any decal, in which, it will begin to “animate” the image that it’s been given by generating new frames. However, the trade-off is that any device rendering Entity #024-B’s “animations” will run sluggishly due to the plugin’s resource intensive nature. The way that these animations play out depend on the context of whatever image is present. For example:
- Any form of advertising on a decal will cause the remaking of certain elements of the image to seemingly look more attention grabbing.
- Any randomly selected decal with no actual theme will be animated in a way that the Entity deems fit.
- Any invalid or broken decal ID will immediately be replaced by whatever Entity #024-B sees fit, ranging from basic drawing to complete nonsense. This process of decal conversion however can spontaneously happen at any time to any ID due to it’s volatile nature.
- Any ROBLOXian(s) being depicted on a decal will immediately be the main focus(es) and Anomaly #024-B will begin messing around and acting out said ROBLOXian(s), puppeteering them until a ROBLOX client session with Entity #024-B is terminated.
Not much else is known about the Entity as any traces of activity were wiped when Toymaker deleted Entity #024-B.
Entity #024-C - Gamegen.PROTOTYPE
Alias: “Broken Shackles/Gamegen.PROTOTYPE”
Type: “Game”
Risk: Harmless
Status: Unknown
Entity #024-C is an experimental game generator made by Toymaker in order to test the capacity of their creative abilities, being called Gamegen.PROTOTYPE in code (which was revealed after Incident B). However, a mistake in the creation of the Entity lead to the accidental distribution of the anomaly mid-production to random users. This lead to the current version that’s been documented. Entity #024-C would be visible in the form of a game that always stays within the homepage as the most recently played game. It would then poorly insert itself into the website’s code immediately upon launch. Despite this, it always comes with a link to a game called “Broken Shackles”, theorised to be a random name that Entity #024-C was fond to use and default to. This game cannot be found via search terms.
Entity #024-C itself is an autonomous game generator that runs within real time sessions in both the ROBLOX client and ROBLOX studio. Anyone visiting the game will be spawned in a small grey box, unable to do anything, this leads to the Entity itself greeting the player. It will begin by sending through multiple prompts about things like game ideas, favourite things about a game and general preferences which will be typed into a text box. When this process is finished, a game is generated based off of the feedback. Entity #024-C will proceed to go dormant until said generation is finished, in which the cycle repeats.
Entity #024-C is able to interact with players and converse as long as anyone is in a session in Broken Shackles, eventually forming bonds. Despite not much else being known, Toymaker commented about how they couldn’t terminate any processes via backup kill switches and safety measures, leading to Entity #024-C potentially being active.
Entity #024-D - Gear_Placebo.rbxm
Alias: “Gear_Placebo.rbxm”
Type: Gear
Risk: Hazardous
Status: Dormant
Entity #024-D is a gear that was seemingly uploaded by ROBLOX to the catalog in 2016, however, it only ever showed up for certain people, the conditions to activate this gear would be unknown (See Entity #024-D-1). Entity #024-D would appear as a gear lacking an image taking on the name “Gear_Placebo.rbxm”, being called that due to a mistake in production. The gear would be free to purchase and would also lack any model preview when visiting its page. Entity #024-D would make itself appear by taking over a previous gear, rerouting any link to instead send the user to the anomaly. This would be akin to an “infection”, ramping up in intensity over time.
If the user didn’t purchase Entity #024-D after it first appeared, it would continue to exponentially replace more and more gears until the marketplace would be completely filled with duplicates of the gear preview, forcing the affected user to purchase it and end what had started. If Entity #024-D is purchased and then the user goes into a game, the Entity would seemingly bypass all gear limitations and appear no matter what. When equipped in-game, the user would hold out a single tablet, having a white colour. This would eventually lead to the user consuming the item, playing a swallowing sound in the process and having Gear_Placebo.rbxm removed from their inventory completely, both in-game and on their profile. At least a month after Entity #024-D is consumed, weird changes to the ROBLOX client would begin to surface on the user's client. The list of noted changes would be:
- The removal of random things, ranging from items to whole features.
- Colour changes with textures and icons of the game.
- The introduction of new, nonsensical features taking the place of the removed ones.
- The user's profile and avatar being changed, such as the disfigurement or introduction of weird proportions and text becoming gibberish or an unintelligible series of words.
Any changes made to the user's client and profile would only appear to them, anyone else on the platform. The changes would begin to ramp up in frequency, slowly but surely and after some time, their ROBLOX client would completely collapse and be rendered unusable for the user. ROBLOX themselves, over the course of the incident, would try to fix the issue happening to these same users, having been aware of all the forum posts surrounding Entity #024-D, but to no avail.
Entity #024-D-1 - Injector
Alias: “Injector”
Type: Script/UI
Risk: Dangerous
Status: Dormant
Entity #024-D-1 is a script made by Toymaker unlike most of their creations however, the anomaly is completely private. Due to this privacy, no screenshots have been made public. Anomaly #024-D-1 would be completely unknown to the public, until recently (see Incident B). Not much is known about it, especially when it comes to any in-depth analysis on its inner workings, the process of targeting individuals is fully understood however.
Entity #024-D-1 itself would be a third party application that Toymaker had at all times, being an extra piece of UI on the ROBLOX client and website. The only thing that was actually on the UI however would be a text box input, allowing them to input any username and send in Entity #024-D to cause havoc. As for why specific people were injected with Gear_Placebo.rbxm, Toymaker claimed that the people being targeted “…would constantly harass me and try to pry information from me. They would exploit any leads to try and stoop me down into submission like the little rascals they were…” (this extraction of dialogue would be a transcript from them after Incident B).
Incident Logs
Incident A
Incident A was an incident involving 12, all now terminated, users that all purchased Entity #024-A from the ROBLOX library a few months before it was completely wiped off of the platform. All of these users were notorious for other incidents prior and were recognised as extremely good coders in Lua. Over the course of a month, said users began coding super dangerous and volatile Entity #024-A-1 instances, their traits being:
- Randomised body proportions with collision.
- The ability to both build and destroy any sort of structure despite game restrictions.
- Many, resource consuming accessories being applied all over the body of the instances.
- The ability to join any game at their own will without the need of the owner’s account.
- The ability to spawn in gears and use them.
- The ability to give people false “bans”.
The code that made this happen is unknown but the instances would crash any server instantly when a player joined one, it is unknown if they would crash clients as well. ROBLOX deleted any traces of these and severely restricted the publishing of new models.
Incident B
Incident B was an incident involving one user that got to chat with Toymaker themselves. During the conversation, Toymaker would reveal information about themselves, their creations, and the anomalies caused by them. They also stated that they have lost control over Entity #024-C, the Gamegen.PROTOTYPE anomaly and that Entity #024-D and #024-D-1 had already been deployed multiple times. This incident was the reason behind much of the recent discoveries in the lore of Toymaker.
