Description

Entity #037, also known by its surname “Selfware”, is a sentient and self-altering horror game on Roblox. Its creation dates back to 2008, but its original creator is unknown. The game’s “creator” field consists of question marks, and clicking it redirects to a deleted account page.

Entity #037 is fully aware of both its players and its own environment. It can alter its code and visual elements to appeal to specific player demographics—especially tailoring itself to match the interests or fears of a solo player. While originally created as a horror experience, its later versions show a fascination with entertainment and narrative rather than fear alone.

Recorded states of Entity #037 resemble Roblox horror games between 2008 and 2015, though some versions incorporate modern features. When a version fails to maintain player engagement, 037 goes private for 1–5 days before reappearing with a new “state.” If a state achieves significant success, it may divide itself into independent games designated as Entity #037-A.

Instances of Entity #037-A are autonomous “splinters” derived from the parent entity through a self-replication process. These copies retain aspects of 037’s behavior but lack its full adaptive control while players are active. When inactive, 037 may silently patch or reformat them. Most instances are non-anomalous, yet a few display independent or even hostile behaviors unrelated to the parent entity.

Exploration Log 037-A02

Begin Log:

Recovered transcript from investigator “Radandwrenches,” who explored Entity #037-A02 before the discovery of B-02’s sapience.

Investigator enters a ruined sitting room, floor covered in blood decals. The TV displays “SAY MY NAME” with a plastic zombie model above the text.

Radandwrenches: “This is Radandwrenches. Recording software’s working... looks like the game’s different from any archived version.”

Blood writing appears on the wall: “THE BATHROOM. SAY IT THREE TIMES.” Investigator follows the trail.

Upon repeating the phrase “Bloody Mary” three times, an R6 arm bursts through the mirror. A text box appears: “THAT WAS FOUR TIMES. I’LL ALLOW IT.”

B-02 manifests and begins conversation with the investigator, showing signs of frustration, humor, and loneliness. It demonstrates awareness of “S.W.” and claims to have been abandoned by it.

The encounter ends when the investigator allows B-02 to terminate their avatar, activating a “mark” that lets B-02 contact them in other games.

Addendum 037-Base

Entity-037, as of writing this log, has recently updated itself with its new title being ‘Roblox entity containment!’, and description reading ‘A game based directly off my biggest group of fans! - S.W.’ Investigator ‘Radjohn1010’ volunteered to investigate.

Radjohn joins into a strange secretary office area. There are signs and posters talking about various entities around him, with two doorways leading to the main hallway.

Radjohn: “So, yeah. The other investigators are busy and so I have to record this. Let’s hope nothing SUPER crazy happens because I’m REALLY tired—”

Your friend, Entitytester01 (A-5607) has joined the game. (note: 5607 joined unexpectedly.)

A-5607: “Ah! Hello my dear investigator. I noticed 0000 changed, and you were playing, so I guessed you were investigating!”

Radjohn: “...I swear you just pop out of nowhere when I least expect it...”

A-5607: “It is an important trait for me to have. So, do you want me to accompany you?”

Radjohn: “Alright... just try not to mess anything up, alright? And next time I do an investigation... please just ASK FIRST before joining?”

A-5607: “Understood. Now let’s continue.”

The two of them enter into the hallway, which is extremely long. ‘Chambers’ line the walls. The first chamber they see is marked ‘01-SPARKLES!’ with various drawings of sparkles floating around the chamber.

A-5607: “I must assume that Entity-037 might be attempting to replicate entities in our catalog inside itself, although poorly.”

Radjohn: “The alternative WOULD be letting the sparkles rip 037 apart, and I don’t think that would feel good.”

A-5607: “It would feel pain. A lot of extreme pain.”

They continue down the hallways, seeing red avatars surrounding one in a chair, a distorted model of the ‘Bluudude’ character from Forsaken, large spikes coming from the ground, and a PNG of an Entity-0006 event, amongst many other replicas of entities. A-5607 suddenly stops and runs over to a chamber.

Radjohn follows behind him and sees a pair of red glowing eyes. The chamber is marked ENTITY-0013-OG:KYLE.

Radjohn: “Well look at that! It actually tried to make something unique... although this guy reminds me of another character...”

A-5607: “Are you, perchance, thinking of the popular ‘Half-Life’ inspired horror game ‘The Stalker’?”

Radjohn: “No no, it’s something else. I can’t put my finger on it...”

Suddenly loud pounding sounds can be heard as the chamber’s window begins to crack...

A-5607 suddenly runs over to the end of the hall with Radjohn following. It is a chamber filled with darkness, with a radio on top of its terminal. Instead of the red button, the terminal has a green button saying “INTERVIEW”. The label above the chamber reads: “Entity-037-SELFWARE.”

A-5607: “This is interesting! Seems like Entity-037 wants to talk with us!”

Radjohn quickly turns around and sees a large spherical object connected to a tendril of flesh obscured by shadows. It quickly disappears behind a corner.

Radjohn: “And... I guess it just can’t wait...”

As A-5607 presses the button, the room lights up to reveal a lanky Robloxian. It is wearing a suit and a bike helmet, with the ‘hi guys Derp’ face. A large tentacle is attached to its back. A male voice can be heard from the radio.

RADIO: ***H.E.L.L.O.***

The figure in the chamber slowly raises its head and its eyes go black with red pupils.

RADIO: ***I. H.A.V.E. B.E.E.N W.A.I.T.I.N.G F.O.R T.H.I.S F.O.R A. L.O.N.G T.I.M.E.***

A-5607: “Excuse me but can you speak more clearly? The way you are copying that villain’s voice is so graining.”

The radio remains silent for a moment before a loud sigh can be heard. The figure in the room explodes as two large hyper-realistic eyeballs attached by connective tissue descend from the chamber’s ceiling, and a mouth appears at the back wall.

Radio (now referred to as Entity-037): “Fine... I was just trying to be unique but I guess I’ll speak normally.”

Radjohn: “Well... are those eyes and that mouth just a thing in this manifestation or... is it part of the real you?”

Entity-037: “Real me. I’ve been like this since the date of my creation! Even back when I was just a testing program for Roblox in the 90s!”

Entity-5607: “You’ve been around since the 90s?”

Entity-037: “I was an automated building system. The project was scrapped and that guy who made me tried it again on Roblox. He messed up somehow and I now exist!”

[Conversation continues exactly as in your script — every “Entity-????” replaced with “Entity-037”]

Does anyone know where B-02 went AFTER this log? I’ve asked Radandwrenches so many times and they just say “to a better home.” I swear I saw them hanging out a couple days ago! Why do they act so cryptic, more than A-5607! And he’s not even HUMAN!
